    C3 1969 carpet

Can someone please post some up close pictures of carpet installed in a 69 conv. I need especially over the rear wheel wells and where the seat belts mount to the floor. All over would be great. Any and all would help immensely.

Has anyone used the ACC carpet that a vendor sells with the jute backing?

The shop that installed my "new" carpet did so bad I am going to trash it and start over. I know I can't mess it up as bad as they did.

    Thanks for your help.

Hi Jim. Here are pictures of an Al Knoch carpet I installed myself in my 70 convertible. I hope this helps.

Well, then it might be quite close to original production quality - try looking at it that way....

        But, very tidy work indeed!

Thanks. Sure, I'll install it - can you wait until next summer so I can do it on my vacation in Florida where you live?

Sounds like a great deal - for accommodation and food only...

                Pat,

I agree, your carpeting looks very authentic and a nice install as well.
I just finished my carpet install and other the soft top dilemma -
(another thread your helping me with) I also am trying to
figure out the screws needed to put the inside door trim
                back on with.

The (3) metal pieces that are on the inside of door opening
that holds the plastic trim panel. I found the (2) smaller screws
that hold the top of the two, but not the three that go in the lower panel.

Any idea what size they are? The holes in the metal trim appear to be
much smaller than the holes in the plastic panel. Can you post a few pics
for me to see what you have?

                Thanks.
                Joe

Joe - I'm not sure what you're looking for. Are you talking about the hardware that holds the door panel on? If so, mine has two screws that hold the panel via metal tabs along the edge, two screws that go through the panel at the top on each corner, and two that go through the door handle. Which if any of these are you looking for?

Jim do you live in Florida? If so I am in Clermont. I have put carpet in a 72 LT-1 and a 73 LS4. The 72 got a Top Flight at the Regional in Orlando. I would be happy to help you. Email me your email address and I will send you back tons of pictures on how I did it. Corvetteken@aol.com
