    C1-62 vette heater switch removal

Can anyone tell me how you remove the heater switch from the control console? I removed the set screw on the knob and removed the two wires from the terminals. One terminal had a very loose connection or the terminal is broken.

After removing the knob, you should see a strange-looking round nut with four slots on its periphery; unscrew it and the switch comes out from the rear of the console plate.

What kind of tool do you use on this? I used a quarter in the headlight switch!

Use an adjustable spanner wrench to avoid damaging the heater trim plate. I've seen guys do it with a pair of long needle nose pliers but it's risky. Rich
