    Convertible Deck support Color.

Hi ---My very first post as a new member working hard to correctly prepare my newly acquired 67 Roadster for NCRS judging. ---- It's a real challenge but having lots of fun especially knowing that I'm part of a process that will preserve the integrity of a classic Corvette.

Not sure about the correct name of this component but in the back of the interior under the convertible deck adjacent to the tension spring there are 2 fabricated sheet metal vertical supports on each side. They are not very noticeable but while in the process of shampooing the back carpets I noticed that this area is in need of some T.L.C. --- They are solid but could look a little better!

My question is: what is the correct color or surface treatment of these supports, springs and mounting bolts?

    Thank you very much,
    Ralph

They were in place when the body was painted. Since the underside of the deck lid was shot with exterior paint, the deck lid support components typically received SUBSTANTIAL exterior color overspray leaving them to 'match' the body...
