Firewall grommet for a 1972

I have been looking for the grommet that goes in the firewall above the passenger side hood latch. I am enclosing a picture that shows almost all of the numbers. The complete wording on it is CAPLUGS, then below that is BP-29 over a 32. This is a solid plug, meaning no opening. Any help on where to find one is appreciated.

That plug is correct as pictured.
I hope you never have to learn the purpose of it, but if the cable going across the hood to the passenger side latch ever breaks with the hood closed you will find out the use for that plug.

Removing the windshield wiper grille, a bent tool (All us C3 owners have one on hand, right? ) pushed through that hole will trip the lever to release the passenger side latch. It would be good for all C3 owners to study this latch release arrangement BEFORE the inevitable happens.

Hi Jeff,
I believe these same plugs are used under the carpet in the foot wells and on the floor of the storage area behind the seats. I guess you're supposed to reach under the carpet and pull the plugs when the leaks have completely filled the foot wells.
Dr.Rebuild shows them in his catalogue, his part # 8075168. He doesn't say if they're 'spot on' or replacement.
I'd think you could stir some up at one of the Corvette Salvage yards.
