    Correct engine casting

I have a Corvette 1967 427 serial is 122268 and the body build date is K-21. I have two question, What date was the car final assamble? The engine casting number is 3916321 is that correct?

To get to the car's final assy date, you 'interpolate' using its VIN against published Chevrolet end of month production figures. There are several 'birthday' calculators out there + a birthday book to reference.

Bottom line, the interpolation process is 'approximate' but it's typically accurate within a few days of actual...

The '321 engine block cast number IS considered correct for 'late' 1967 BB cars and it's discussed in the NCRS Judging Guide...

      Lius,
Just for comparison, I have VIN 21135 which indicates either June 17th or June 19th (Sat or Monday) build date. The trim tag has a build date of K16 which is June 16th for the body build date. I would suggest you explore: www.c2registry.org and register your car.

            Lius -

I saw your post for info on 22268 and thought that number sounded familiar. I ran out to the garage and read 22273 from an old block that I have had for 20 plus years. This block is a 300 HP A/C car. It is fun to capture numbers. Good Luck and have fun.
