    66 Power brake booster mounting

The judging guide states that the mounting plate is secured with two flat rivets but I have seen an original 67 with rounded head rivets and this 67 car is a known original. The mounting kit I have also has the same rounded head configuration. I was just curious what other 66 cars have on theirs. I have the correct mc and booster and want this to be as correct as possible.
I am doing this swap because I will be driving this car a lot when it is back on the road and like the idea of a split braking system for safety reasons.

    Peter,
I'm considering adding power brakes to my 66' and I would like to do the install as factory as possible too. Where did you buy your mounting kit?
I assuming the plate came with it. Do you have any other suggestions for performing this conversion?
    Thank you!

      Jeff,
I am getting ready to do my install and will let you know how it goes. It has been quite a while since I got the mounting kit (2 bolts, Plate with weld nuts and rivets), but I got it from Long Island. I will be going with flat rivets as the JG says. I had hoped somebody with a 66 would chime in with photos or a description of their rivets. I'm sure Paragon would have it too. Tough part was finding the master cylinder at a good price.

        Peter,
Thanks for getting back to me. I'll look in the LI catalog for the mounting kit, did you buy the flat rivits from them too? I was suprised not to hear from any other 66 owers either. Please do keep me posted on your install, I'm a couple of months from begining. Thank you, Jeff jgoldacsind@yahoo.com

Caution: as there has not been any mention of the nut plate, the repops we have seen on the judging field have hex head weld nuts, originals were square.
