I just joined NCRS after purchasing a 1959 Corvette from Pro-Team Corvettes in Napoleon, Ohio. After I returned to Colorado I realized I did not view the underside of this vehicle. Although there is no corrosion or rust, and the frame is straight with no hits, (they subsequently sent me photos) the underside was not detailed. They want $7,000 for a body-on underside detail. Does this sound right?

Re: Hello
Depends on what's included in the work. Where have you gone in Colorado for quotes/estimates? The Rocky Mtn Chapter meets this Saturday for its monthly meeting and you might find local alternatives as the chapter sponsor + several of the members do this kind of work...- Top

Re: Hello
Welcome to NCRS and congratulations on your new toy.
This is a great place to get some quality information on keeping it in tip top condition from some excellent people who really know Corvettes.
I hope you have many enjoyable miles with your Corvette.

Sorry, I don't have any advice on underside detailing - I hope to learn something about it myself.- Top
