    Hello

I just joined NCRS after purchasing a 1959 Corvette from Pro-Team Corvettes in Napoleon, Ohio. After I returned to Colorado I realized I did not view the underside of this vehicle. Although there is no corrosion or rust, and the frame is straight with no hits, (they subsequently sent me photos) the underside was not detailed. They want $7,000 for a body-on underside detail. Does this sound right?

Depends on what's included in the work. Where have you gone in Colorado for quotes/estimates? The Rocky Mtn Chapter meets this Saturday for its monthly meeting and you might find local alternatives as the chapter sponsor + several of the members do this kind of work...

Why would you have not looked at the undercarriage before you got it home. Did they tell it was detailed? I hope you are just asking about detailing cost not that you were mislaid about the condition. Anyway welcome to NCRS. You will find a wealth of information & meet a lot of nice helpful people.Good luck with the Corvette.

            Welcome, '59 that's my favourite C1, enjoy.

Sorry, I don't have any advice on underside detailing - I hope to learn something about it myself.

                Hi Robert,
As I am one of the least knowledgable persons on this board, let me tell you that you will find some really nice people willing to help "newbies" get a clue.
                Welcome, Sandra
