Are there any numbers, unique configuration, etc that identify a low HP 283, 327 balancer?

There were several similar balancers used for low hp engine applications over the C1 years. However, most have similar configuration. They are a "stepped" style balancer with 6" rear step OD and a 4-5/8" front step OD. I don't think there are usually any numbers on these but you can check the face of the smaller OD front section of the balancer. IF you find the numbers "0584" or "7684" you will pretty much know you have the balancer you seek. However, I doubt that you'll find any numbers.

Look in the 1958-60 NCRS Technical Info Manual & Judging Guide. On page 74 is a picture and description of the low hp #3760584 and high hp #3764318 balancers. I am STILL searching for the high hp balancer for my '59, 270 hp Vette. I have a friend that had the low hp balancer for sale. He may still have it, email Dan Martin : silver65@satx.rr.com

And if you find the high hp one, please let me know.
