65 L79 Temp Sending Unit Wire Routing

Which side of the intake manifold should the wire from the temperature gauge to the brass temperature sending unit on the intake manifold be routed? On my 65 L79, the wire is routed on the driver's side of the intake manifold and held in place by two black phosphate clips connected to two top side valve cover bolts. I believe it should be routed on the passenger (right side) side of the intake manifold but I want to confirm this. Thanks.

    Michael,
You are correct in your assumption. In 1965 the routing is on the passenger side . .So, make the change. Good Luck.

Thanks Joe for the confirmation. I also assume the wire is routed behind the distributor before routing towards the front along the valve covers to the temp sending unit.

Yes, the AIM is always a little vague on addressing certain wiring routes on optioned cars. The easiest and cleanest looking wiring route is often the one the factory used.
