    '67 Power Window conduit screws...

If you have power windows, you will notice the tubular steel conduits which house the wires from the window motor that go to the wiring harness under the dash.

The '67 Judging Manual states that these conduits shall be painted gloss black, no matter what the color of the car. What it doesn't mention is the color of the two screws which secure the conduit to the door. Are they zinc plated or should they be gloss black as well? Thanks, PT

    Patrick,
What I have observed on original and restored cars are Zinc plated, Hex head, shouldered screws without any paint.

The heads are recessed shouldered hex head with an achor headmark, similar to those on the body mount access plate inide the rear wheelwell.

This is listed in the 1966 fourth edition judging manual.

The conduit is painted gloss black and is secure with two 5/16 inch cadmium or zinc plated (or black phosphate) hex head screws wtih shoulder washers or black "Hi-Hat" hex head screws. Either type of fastener is considered correct.

Thanks for the information guys. The screws I got from LICS are the same in the picture below and I'll use them. PT

            Right choice, Patrick.
The '66 JG revision references the zinczd finish only.
