65 side pipe frame holes

Hello,

Decided to go for side pipes on the 65.....however would like to see a close up pic of the holes on de side of the frame where the pipe brackets need to be attached.

Looking forward to the pics.

What holes? The only connection to the frame is at the rear of the sidepipe section, via the existing "Keyhole" slot and hole about 6 inches foreward from the end of the main rail section.

that is the hole i mean.....I have a 63 replacement frame (surprise of this week) so we need to create these holes....

OK, but the does create some other problems as the '65 and later frames are different in the upper rail above the brake calipers in the rear to allow for caliper clearance as the frame moves, but to answer your question, the hole is actually Keyhole shaped with the rearmost part beiung the large section of the Key, The rearmost edge of this keyslot is 3-1/4 inch to the rear edge of the frame, and the round section is 3/4 inch in diameter. from the foreward edge of this hole, a slot 3/8 inch wide runs foreward 2 inches. The outer edge of this slot is 3/4 inch inboard from the vertical outside of the frame. This isn't by any chance a Maroon '65 FI car is it?

Bill no it is not a maroon car. I also know about the clearance for the disc brakes, we already measured this and will make the needed adjustments...but thanks for mentioning it.
