How or where would I go to find out the production sequence for 1982. I have a 82 CE that might just be a really early production car (VIN 00781) & I would like to find out how many CE's were made before mine ??

Actually...mine is the 2nd on the list......so I know mine was at least the 2nd one made...!!

If your a member of the national corvette museum and gain access to their build sheets archives, you could take a day and browse the first 780 and determine for yourself how many were produced before yours. The realty is that unless someone has researched the VIN production sequence, its guesswork because in 82, those numbers weren't kept.

why not plan to take on the project and than write an article for the Restorer that documents the number of CEs built in the first 1,000 units build in 82. You'll than meet one of the requirements for the Founder's Award!
