Does anyone have a favorite cleaner for the convertible top rear window?

Maguiars has a three step product which brought back a rear window on my 62 that I thought would never clean up.
It consists of a cleaner, a polish and a glaze.
Not cheap but a great product.

'same as Bruce----Meguiar's. If your window is clear just warm water and soft top cleaner or mild soap regularly when you wash the car.

I have used Mequiar's on my rear window and have been pleased.

On all the older convertibles I had, 59 Impala, 62 Vette and 63 Vette, I found the cleaner available at most Boat stores for cleaning plastic boat windows works well.

Way back when in high school I was a line boy at an airport. We used a cleaner/polish marketed by Allison. It was used to remove bugs, scratches, clean and protect. I believe they are long out of business but a trip to any airport that washes, waxes, etc. should have a high quality product used on aircraft wind screens. 3M glaze works well if no yellowing or deep scratches are present.

I would suggest using NOVUS PLASTIC POLISH NO. 2. Novus Inc. Minneapolis, MN 55435. Works great on any plastic or vinyl surface. Have used the stuff for years.

One more product to consider - Plexus plastic cleaner, protectant & polish. It comes in an aerosol spray, and I've found it to be outstanding. I saw a guy using it at the Motor City Regional, and talked to him about it. I searched/found it on the net, bought a can and love it. It aint cheap, but it sure does work well.
