    Side Glass Replacement - C1

How big of a job is it to change the side glass on a 58-60 ?

My side glass has the incorrect dates. I spoke to OEM glass today and they seem like a good source for it just need to know what is involved with moving the chrome frame to the new glass.

My windows have yellow resin-like drips around the frame. Is this normal ?

I just removed the side driver side window from my 1960. It is a pain to remove the door panel and all the screws, but the window with frame comes out once you remove the screws that hold it to the rollup mechanism. There are four stainless steel or chrome philips screws that hold the frame around the glass. The yellow "drips" around the edge are areas where the piece of plastic in the middle of the glass (creates the safety glass) has yellowed at the edges of the glass. I have the same thing. The 1960 Assembly Instruction Manual has a good blow up of the window mechanism and window frame. While you are in there, you may want to consider replacing the "felt whiskers", horizontal and vertical, if they are worn down. Good Luck.
