63 FI unit

I have a Jan. 21 63 built date and would like to know if a 2395 FI dog house serial number would be correct for the car. Thanks

Nolan Adams book lists several doghouse serial numbers for various VIN number 63s. You can extrapolate to see if your close but this is more art than science. Others may have a better list.

Think of it this way, about 11% of production was FI cars, the unit you are looking at was the 1395th unit built. look at your VIN and figure about 225 units per month, with september being about 1/3 of a month, so roughly 4 months of full production up to your car, or a S/n unit wise around 900-1000 maybe 1100. 1395 (remember # 1 was 1001) would be maybe a little late, but only by a few weeks.

Gary, Jan 21st 2395 plenum tag. The number may be a tad high.
If your serial number was in the high teens or early 2000's you wouldn't get any comments or flags. You need to start looking at other things under the hood besides the plenum tag if you are suspicious in any way though.
I would tend to agree with Clupper as if I don't I'll be in trouble. JD
