C2 windshield question (maybe a dumb one)

Are the C2 coupe and convertible windshields the same?

    Yes, however trim is different.

Are you talking about every year? The 63 coupe was framed like the convert, but the 64-67 was different, right?

          Trim differences:

Look at the AIM UPC F23, Pictures a coupe. I don't have a page for the convert but if you have a LICS catalog its in there for a convert.

67 Coupe consists of 3 major pieces and 2 corner pieces
Convert appears to be 4 major pieces

The service manual (67) has excellent details on page 1B-8. I assume 65 manual is similiar.

Correct - the only shared windshield molding trim part between coupes and convertibles is the interior lower garnish molding (the flat-painted one in front of the defroster outlet); all the rest of the interior garnish and exterior reveal moldings are unique to each body style.

W/S Glass is the same, but another thing that's different is the rubber weatherstrip assembly. In 1965 it was #3844047 for the convertible and ...049 for the coupe.

Here's a worthless bit of trivia for ya. While 63-67 w/shields are the same per year, the 66 and 67 w/shield is thicker than 63-65. I don't remember the exact difference in dinension but I think it was aroung .015"-.020".
I can look it up if, for some reason, anyone actually wants to know.
