Nice shot, way better than the one I posted (need to get a better camera than the $29.95 one I have). I also can see the original stamping from the manufacture in your picture. That's what I like about restoring original pieces if possible. I like all those little details even if they're not judged. I doubt that the repro's have any markings on them, anyone know for sure?

Re: Green Finish/Color on Fuel Pump Hose Clamps
Hi Tom
Those goofy judges can spot a filed hose clamps. I not that goofy but was an OJ judge and I did have my specks on and did pointed out the filed end on a car getting top flighted. Only lost a point but he still did get top flighted. Originals have a die cut ends, it has that sort of flared end at the very edge. Very hard to repop that. So I guess that is why the judges carry magnifying tools too.
Thanks, Grant- Top

Hey, Doc. Are you doing your Jay Leno mimic? Because the fuel lines are rotten?

Marty...megapixels are to cameras as horsepower is to Corvette performance. You can do great things and see much detail with the new megapixel heavy camera.MARK-

Nope.
Note that larger line has some unusual "cracks" on it.
Anyone ever seen those before, or know why they look as they do?
There's a reason, and I'll say what it is if no one guesses it.

Original hose, pre-molded but there's a twist to it (if anyone can "get" it)
This car is close to a Bowtie car, if not there. I have to clean it up more to tell. It has some VERY interesting features such as this hose.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

You guys want close-ups ?
Sharp-edged clips I've collected -- can't vouch for their being period-correct for C2's, but they're not repop.
Notice the 'run' in the green coating on the blow-up shot.- Top

Yes, I believe they were "basketed" in the dye used to color them. So, when the baskets were extracted from the dye tanks, drips would form. Note that the phosphate primary finish is seen in areas where the dye has chipped or worn away.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Green Finish/Color on Fuel Pump Hose Clamps
As Terry notes, the variety and color coding of spring clamps increases as we move up in the C3 years. By 82 we see silver, yellow, red, black and of course green as has been noted here. For example, by mid 70's we see yellow used for the vacuum line to the headlamp actuator. By 78, yellow is also used for the cruise control actuator. Reds are used for emission hoses from canister to tank while black is seen on overflow tank to radiator hose.Tom Russo
