No comment on the PCV situation, just a friendly warning to watch your temp gauge...

We've had several club members 'soup up' their Shark cars by building them into 383 strokers. Yep, you get the performance of a BB, but you also get the underhood heat dissipation profile of one too!

Those that did this had sporadic overheating and carb vapor lock issues which I ascribe to pushing the original car's thermodynamic profile past the limits...

The PCV is the same as a stock 1975 Chevrolet/Corvette right angle PCV which is located in the front left side valve cover. The right side has a breather. Currently both sides have a breather and the PCV port in the 750 cfm Edelbrock is plugged.

I replaced the stock 30 year old brass radiator with a Dewitt aluminum direct fit and 160 deg. thermostat. The car ran too cool so I upped to a 180.

Would dropping back to a stock oil pump, lowering your pressure be of a benefit? A L-82 pump would hold up the pressure and may lower the amount of flow, would seem that you are having a lot of splash on the top end causing your problem.
Sounds like you got a small block monster there

Also need to check the lifters, as there are lifter designs that drive a lot of oil into the rocker area (thru the pushrods) and others that don't. The '75 PCV system is setup for a hydraulic cam and metered oil flow into the rocker area. As I recall, I think the '75 valve covers have a baffle system in them to keep splash from hitting the PCV valve directly, I didn't see if you are using the factory valve covers or not.

I did change the oil Pump from a high volume to factory replacement. The pressure dropped from 80+ lbs to 65. To fit the roller rockers I had to go with the tall aluminum valve covers.

take a look a GM corvette valve covers that have a PCV valve to see what type of baffles you need in yours.
