Hi everyone, this is my first post, I am a new guy on the block, just picked up a nice 91 coupe, just had a tech look at it and I need to replace two of the fuel injectors. I will replace all eight, its an L98 which is a lot of work to get to them. Does anyone have a brand preference on injectors, I noticed there are a lot of different kinds, more important is there a brand to stay away from. Thanks for you help

I believe the original fuel injectors were Delco MULTEC manufactured by DELPHI. That's what I would use for replacement. These injectors are GM #17112285, aka Delco #217-292. They may be STAMPED "17086544". They GM list for about 180 bucks, each. However, you should be able to purchase them for about $115 each through Delco dealers.
Tip: If you can find an automotive parts dealer that carries DELPHI-branded injectors, you can purchase the exact same thing for a lot less. DELPHI part number is FJ10024.
I don't know if Bosch manufactures injectors for your application. However, if they do, they would be an acceptable alternate brand. I wouldn't use any others and I definitely would not use "rebuilt" injectors. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: C4 fuel injector problem
If I remember correctly, Lucas makes a clone of the factory original injectors. One mechanic at our shop SWORE by them (unusual...most avoid Lucas components with their reputation for being the 'Prince of Darkness) saying they had superior internal construction.
His assertion was the path through the Lucas injector kept it separated from the coil windings of the solenoid and that today's gasoline, doped with alcohol, had a tendency to eat away the insulation of the coil winding wires resulting in internal short circuiting, loss of resistance/overall inductance and a weakened throw profile for the injector...- Top

Re: C4 fuel injector problem
Mark, The website is www.injector-rehab.com . They gave me one day turnaround on my injectors. The cost was $16 each to rebuild them. I received a printout of each injector's condition before and after rebuild. I considered buying new injectors, but I decided I would rather have my originals if possible.- Top
