    Has any one used royal purple break in oil for flat tappet engines

      I have a 62 fuelie my question is has anyone tried royal purple break in oil which is supposed to be good for flat tappet engine because of its Zinc content

              I've never used it but I would think it would be ok. My preference is just plain ,old, regular engine oil with a pint of GM Engine Oil Supplement added. This will provide all the zinc phosphate you need (and then some). GM #88862586.
