What is Red Line on red line on a 454 LS5.

I have a friend who has a 1970 454 LS5. He had some gauge work done and we are disputing the red line, or more specific, the location of the red line.

The question/debate is.....6500 or 5600 rpm red line? Can anyone post a picture of theirs if they have a 454 LS5.

    Thanks in Advance,
    David

70-72 LS5 red line---5600, as per JM and a quick look at my 72.

      Mike,
Thanks....I won that bet. I told him that a BB isn't really meant to survive at SB rpm's such as 6500. He was pretty insistant that the red line was wrong.

        That's true for hydraulic-lifter big-blocks, but solid-lifter big-blocks had 6500 rpm redlines.
