    Question regarding 1964 accessory codes

    Hi all,

While answering another posting regarding the Corvette order copy #5, I was looking at the file picture I had posted which showed some interesting numbers and letters prior to the actual accessory ordered. Does anyone have a breakdown of all these codes in 1964 since the document I have is for a 64?

Wow you learn something new everyday.

    Thanks,
    Craig W.

Craig, Check out the info on 62 build sheets(same) byJohn Mattson in The Restorer Vol 28#3 and #4 ,Vol 29#1 and Vol 30#1. Is the 64 order form from your car? Stan

Stan, is there a easy way to reference that particular article? No, this is a stock photo I posted regarding another question. It got me thinking of what all the codes may have been in 1964.

      Thanks for your help,
      Craig

Craig -- going by the date, I think the order copy you show is from a Dow-Smith (Ionia MI) body, which would explain the Z's and Y's following the T86 back-up lamps option.

All the window stickers or order copies I've seen begin with "2". Of course you know the RPO options list, and after that is the ECL code, described by Noland's Vol 2.
