56-62 Exhaust Hangers

Hey guys does anybody know who is reproducing the best exhaust hangers for the 1956-1962 Corvettes.

We are also looking for informatin on the muffler. Did they weld on the adapter pipe to the muffler originally?

I don't know about the best but the ones I got for my 62 from Paragon worked great. No part of the exhaust touches the frame so no rattles. I believe just the tailpipe is welded to the muffler but will have to check that to be sure.

Thanks for the post. I am trying to come up with an original muffler because I think the pipe leading into the muffler was welded originally but if you purchased the muffler afterwards they obviously sold you the pipe and the muffler separate. Does any one have an untouched original car that can verify this?

C-1 mufflers and adaptor pipes were welded together before installation. Most vendors offer them this way. Rich
