Original spare tire question

I read another posting that only the spare tire is judged for originality and not a close repro as the other four are. Is that correct because I have a new original spare never used which has the size in bossed in the tread as seen here for my 55 Corvette.

Since you are the C-1 expert here on the tech board, I am curious and maybe you can answer a question on the early cars and their tires? What tires did the 53 use? Was it a U.S. Royal tire?

First I must say I'm not the C1 expert, I know the 55 pretty well I don't feel any one person know's every thing about all C1's. When it comes to tires I'm not sure , I think other are smarter then me on that. I just know my spare is a 55 original tire that 55 cars also came with. The JM is the last word if your going for some award no matter what I or others may think.
