Re: L 88's
H = Holley
R = Rochester
Comes up on PoP in 68 and up once in a while. Nothing consistent. It shows up on the blue door label because in 1969 to 1971 that blue label information is imprinted from the PoP, and if the label is misaligned when the imprint is taken the next line below the VIN shows up on the blue label.Terry- Top

Re: L 88's
Tom -- I can only say what is in the '65 AIM, 'cause that's all I have. Instructions for what data is to be stamped on the P-o-P and the starting location of the fields is given. Ref UPC 14, Sheet C10. [presented as a grid of columns & rows].
In the example below, "engine source, date & type code & number" was to begin at G1 (line G, left hand margin). The "Carburetor source" was to be located at G10. Counting from left, we see that, indeed, the H is the 10th column from the left margin. Don't know if '67 AIM says carb is to be at G8 (because in L88 example I gave above, it follows directly after engine code).Attached Files- Top

Re: L 88's Check out this site
This website is an online photo gallery of the cars in Kevin Suydam's extensive Musclecar collection. This collection consists of over 100 plus of the rarest Corvettes and American high performance muscle cars ever produced. Click on each category thumbnail to enter that particular group. To view full sized photos, doubleclick on thumbnail photos to enlarge them. The website is constantly in process of updates. Keep checking back as there are over 10 cars in various stages of restoration yet to be posted. There are also newly obtained cars for which good photos need to be taken, weather permitting. *Update* 1/11/23 Added approximately 25 cars (Mostly Mopars) but need to add more photos of each car, such as interior and engine compartment. Then type descriptions for each one. Kevin is always interested in adding to his collection--specifically American and Canadian high performance muscle cars and Corvettes. His primary interest is the 1967 to 1971 model years and the cars could be restored or in need of restoration but they must be authentic. If you yourself have such a supercar, factory or dealer high performance car or race car for sale, or know of others email Kevin.- Top
