A friend has a 1960 Corvette fuel injection car with RPO 687 Heavy Brake / suspension. Car was road raced as evidance of a roll bar exists. Originally, the paint was Tasco Turquoise. We have found black and white pictures of E.A. Smith racing car # 23 at Cumberland in 62 and 63, and Meadowdale in 64.

We also have pictures of Ed Myers, a founding member of CCWP, or the Corvette Club of Western Pennsylvania. Don Yenko was also a founding member. Ed's number was #84. Again, the black and white pictures of his 60 Corvette may be this car also.

QUESTION:

IS THERE ANYONE WHO BELONGS TO THE CCWP that may have some vintage history on these people and their race cars ?

Tom Purdy is his name Steve. Yes, he wants to sell the car. I talked to Clem this evening, and he tells me ED SMITH'S car was silver, not green.

We also talked about Ed Myers car. His was frost blue. So back to the drawing board.

The car is a neat piece and will be an asset to the race history of the Corvette. Just need to find anyone with programs and photos of the events of the day.
