looking for a 68-74? drivers side mirror

Does anyone know where I could find a nice clean original or correct repop drivers side mirror? I think Paragon was the only supplier of a correct repop but as of about a year ago they have gone with a "made in China" repop that they say will not pass judging.

Any leads are appreciated.

All 1968-74 used the "small" head driver side mirror. I think that 1975 did, too, although very late may have used the "large" head.

I know that it is a reproduction and now made in China, how does it not pass in judging?

I have no idea where it fails in judging. All I know is that last year I placed an order for some hardware with special head markings that only Paragon has and when I mentioned that I also wanted the mirror the sales person told me flat out that they no longer carry thier correct repop and that "these won't pass judging". At that point it didn't matter why because I wasn't going to get it anyways.

I'd check back with Paragon. They keep 'finding' the old ones--or maybe I got the last one?

I have called Paragon several times in hope of getting the last one. In my opinion and the fact I have been told No too many times Paragon does not have any USA built LH reproduction outside mirrors.

If you find a supplier please share as there are a number of us looking.

Ya when I phoned about a year ago they said that I missed thier "last one" by about a month.

Corvette Central "used to" build mirrors also - I was there and watched them do it. You might check with them to see what they have and if they're still making them.

Thanks Tony but the head looks to be too big.

Yes it fits 68-79 and is a service replacement for 68-74 however it's only correct for 68-74.
