mike THANKS for the help! i do have the cvt black book it has 19 437 as a coupe am i wrong or is the book wrong, also the book showes production as coupes 8,186 / 15,376conv. vin on this one is 194375s108289. coupe. i also have chevrolet by the numbers 65-69. i am TRYING TO LEARN this book! please bear with me

I'm sure Mike M. meant to say coupe body. Another way to do a rough check is 1473 A-bodied coupes x2 (S- and A- bodies were roughly in step. Multiply the 2946 total coupes x 2 for convertibles (roughly 2 convertibles for each coupe); grand total = ~8800, which is close enough to your 8289 th Corvette.

BTW, black book seems to have minor error in convertible total; should be 15378 (last 2 were convertibles that got on the books for August production) for total of 23564.

My books all say 437 is a coupe. What is youe body? I have the trim tag book.

Yep, Richard, my bad, "3" is a coupe, went all mental.
You have the 8,289th car with the 1,473rd A. O. Smith Coupe Body.
There is no direct relationship of these numbers.
Wayne has accurately described how to extrpolate the appropriate corralatation of these numbers.
