There was a pretty unfavorable discussion of them last February, but I haven't found any posts since then. Does anyone have any more recent experience with them?

Re: Frankford Plating
All I can say is that I sent in my letters, bezels where the top attaches through the rear deck, seat release bezels/buttons, and seat hinges. Only the seat hinges were good when I got the stuff back.
This was just about a year ago. The other parts were not usable and they had removed soo much material that they were too small. The letters were so bad that the pins would not accept the speed nuts. Keep in mind that the parts I sent him were not pitted either. I just wanted them a bit nicer without all the scratches.
I would not recommend them and if Jon Barger reads this he should send me a refund for everything but the hinges plus the money to replace the parts and have them rechromed, if needed. I would be happy with just a refund at this point.
I was very, very disappointed after I found them in the Driveline and tried them. I will say that I used them once before this for my gauge bezels and they came out nice. Other wise I would not have used them this second time.
I recently used Librandi for my original rear exhaust bezels and they were a whole lot nicer than GM ever made when I got them back- Top

Re: Frankford Plating
for 30 years i've used Paul's Chrome in evans city Pa with excellent results and average to high fees. recently used Librandi to do the 57 Olds wagon's entire chrome job. Librandi's work darn near perfect and said to be about 20% less than Paul's although i didn't get a quote from Pauls. there was one piece off the wagon that Librandi wouldn't do(said it was impossible to do without warping the piece). Sent it to Pauls and it came back perfect. both outfits do quality work.Pual's turnaround seems to be a little quicker .mike- Top

Re: Frankford Plating
Try M&P Refinishing in Jeannette,PA. 724-527-6360 They specialize in pot metal plating and also the rumor is they do a lot of plating for other chrome shops but don't tell anyone that. M&P is very popular in the Pittsburgh Tri-State area. It's a family operation and turn around is rather fast. Ask for Don, Gary, or John Kerlin and tell them I sent you. I've been using them for an eon. Show chrome, gold plating,.etc. No cad or zinc. John D.- Top
