70 SB "V" shields

I know they changed in 70 when they went to the safety style motor mounts.

I would love to see a picture of the early and later side by side to see what are the differences between the two so if I find a correct set I will know.

I am pretty sure that GM also replaced both with a universal type.

Also, if anyone has a correct set for a 70 available let's talk. It looks like there is no replacement available from GM or reproduction.

I am really no help because I can't make up my mind what digital camera to buy. I have the shields currently off of my 68 and 70 to clean them up the best I can. Hope someone else can help.

Hi Bill,
Here's a picture of the left side shield from my 71, #6589. There's a picture of the right side, too, but it's missing right now?!?
