1968 Dealer Code Help?

Could anyone help with my mystery on where my January 1968 car was sold in Washington State. I contacted the second owner's widow and she could not help identify the original owner.

Tank sticker has: Zone 42, Dealer Code: 404, 412 or 414. You can see that someone wrote over the original number which was 412. It also states that it had "Transport Storage in Seattle" because it was probably sold to someone in the Navy. Thanks for any help.

My 68 L71 was purchased from Alan Green Chevrolet out of the Seattle area and had a Dealer code of 204. At first I thought maybe they had written over the first number but it appears clear that it is a 4 and not a 2. Alan Green was the performance dealer in that area and as your tank sticker shows it being an L89, thought that it may have come from that dealer. I don't know enough about the codes to know how they were determined. Thought I'd just add this bit of trivia.

The dealer code archive doesn't have any information for zone 42 dealer codes of 402, 412 or 414.

Alan Green Chevrolet was known for selling one of the ZL1 Camaros and they also raced a Cheetah. They are now Burien Chevrolet, 14400 1st Ave S, Burien, Wa 98168. I think it's been Burien Chevrolet for a long time but are in the same location as Alan Green.
