62 headlight buckets - correct color?

What is the correct color for the headlight buckets? Semi-flat black (1613)?

next question, what type of paint am I suppose to use for the wheelwells? Does it cover all the way up to the headlight buckets?

I should have said what type of undercoat?

i've used Berkebile rubberized undercoating for years and never had a judge question its surface texture. cheap and available locally. good luck, mike

          Thanks Mike.

you do not happen to have any pictures of where it should cover? I am assuming I should have the headlight buckets, top fender molding and emblems installed before I apply the undercoat. Also how many layers should I put on? Is it a heavy coat?

Any areas I should tape off before I apply the undercoat (of course the painted area should be taped).

Jim ! Mike is right , but I always advise people to first add a thin layer "sheet" of rubber glued to the under side of the top fender then add the under coating . That way if you DRIVE your Corvette and pick up small rocks your fenders don't get those little star cracks showing in the paint . If you'er never going to DRIVE NCRS it then don't.
I've driven over 100K in 30 years and have none.
            That's just my 2 cents

I have a 40,000+ mile almond beige 62 that has never had the paint touched, and it has NO chips of any kind from stones coming up from underneath. Neither does the 70k mile maroon 62 with original paint have any such issues. It does however have a small star break in the paint in the rear fender where the jack slid and hit the inner surface. A small stone will not damage the paint, to my way of thinking.

Rock chips probably depends upon what type of road you drive on either ways. What about the coverage how much do I use. Do I hit the entire undeneath of the wheelwell?
