i got lea a $2 used microwave dish at the local antique store, then stopped at the snap-on dealer and ordered a pair of new cabnets, upper and lower, 73" wide each. and they were just a tab more than @ $2 . mikie

I did not receive a Corvette related gift but I supplied one of my Teak steering wheels to a gentleman who in turn gave it to his wife for a Christmas present.While talking to him when he ordered the wheel,he informed me that this would not be the first time she had received a Corvette part as a gift. The wheel was made using the original plastic steering wheel that came with the car.

Maybe you can offer the Snappie guy a slightly used Xmas tree base in trade. My dealer always takes trades (and offers used equipment as well).

I didn't receive any Corvette related gifts, but then I didn't ask for any either! Being single, I give myself the Corvette gifts and right now I am in the middle of the restoration of my 1960 fuel injected Corvette, so there are no shortage of gifts at this time! After owning the car for 9 years and getting all the correct parts together, I decided it was time to get it put together before it turns 50 in May 0f 2010! Most of the individual componants are already restored, so it should go quickly. We took the Corvette to a shop in Missouri for paint and assembly, I can't wait to go see it, but that will have to wait until after the trip to the Kissimmee Regional in January!Hope to meet many of you there!

Only got 3 die casts, a cap and an NCRS Pin, but they are all very necessary to have and I thank my kids every year. Oh yes, and a Garmin for the road trips!
