    '68 headlights

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

I own a '68 427 400HP coupe. My low beam headlights quit working. They were working as of two weeks ago. High beams work fine with the low beams working when I toggle on the high beams. When I toggle off the high beams, the low beams quit working. All other lights work, tail, license plate, brake, etc.

    Any ideas?

I suggest remove the dimmer switch and check out contacts for corrosion. Also check out the harness connector contacts. My bet is you will find the problem there. A replacement switch is cheap if switch is bad.

Gene, you hit the nail on the head with your wire harness suggestion. Loose wire, looks like previous owner jammed the wire into the connector and it came loose. Next problem will be how to remedy, don't wish to re-wire this run as the wiring in car is sound, suppose I can purchase harness and splice connector to wires.
