Now how are we poor midwest boys to contribute anything to this thread - maybe tell stories on how we watched Kim Novak at the drivein and what else we were doing at the time, Tee Hee!

Bill;
Don't get me wrong. I have enjoyed your series and have contributed a few posts describing some of my exploits as well in the previous ones. But when I read your introductory post to this one, well, it kind of blew me out of the water. I guess I lived a simple midwest small town life in my teen years and early 20's before I joined Uncle Sam's Army. Of course, I could reveal a lot of special secrets like our very own nude beach on Lake Michigan between Racine and Milwaukee - nah! I'll just sit back and take this one in.
Thanks for sharing though, Ive enjoyed reading the accounts.

Bill and Stu,
I wasn't even born yet for these stories! So, I don't have anything to contribute. However, I really enjoy reading your posts/stories and everyone else's that have them (Roy, Clem, Duke, et al.). The corvette stories are awesome and the rest is a bonus. Keep them coming.
Rob
BTW - Bill, you should write a book. I'd read it.Rob

I'd buy it, Bill.
I used to wach 77 Sunset Strip and the others, and could only drool with my best buds over the likes of Kim Novack, Connie Stevens, Cyd Charisse, and others.
Thanks for the memories. This is all just a part of the whole "Corvette thing" that I hope I'd be buying into when I decided to get involved in the hobby.
Best,
