I have an early 1969 built Sept. 24, 1968 and I am re-doing the interior. I pulled off the map pocket panel and according to the AIM, the convector for the radio should be mounted under the windshield on the front side of the metal support. I can see only one hole not two and the hole is not in the location that the AIM references for the convector is is more towards the center of the car on the bottom of the brace. I am wondering if this was possibly originally a radio delete car and if the lack of mounting holes for the convector is one indication and if there are other ways of telling a radio delete car. Could it be that the convectors were mounted in a different location on the 68's? The car does currently have an antenna, but I understand that there were factory kits that were available to install the radios back in the day. Thanks.

Re: 1969 Radio Delete Question
Hi Greg,
I offer this photo for comparison. It's from my 71.
There are definitely 2 holes. The mouting clip and screw you can't see is at same positon (on the other end) as the one you can see.
The hole for other clip is almost exactly the same distance from the lip on the brace, as the one you an see.
There is just a little raised metal around the hole from the self tapping screws. The holes are quite neat but I can't say they were there even if the car was radio delete.
Happy New Year!
