I have just posted two new steering column papers. They cover the 1967 (late) and 1968 standard (non-adjustable) steering columns.
This first paper discusses removing and replacing the turn signal switch and upper column bearing.
This second paper discusses dropping the steering column, replacing the lower column bearing, and checking the steering shaft length.
I have also posted both of them in pdf format. You will need to go to www.jimshea.corvettefaq.com
click on Jim Shea's Steering Papers
click on Corvette Steering Papers
scroll down to the 67-68 Standard Steering Column section
download Disassembly & Repair Papers #1 and #2.
I would be very interested in any comments, suggestions, corrections, etc.
Now I will have some time to look at the telescoping columns.
