I'm at work now and not near my books. Looking at a L-82 Intake with carb #17056202 1206 AAB. Being told it from a 78 or 79. Any help appreciated, Thanks

John, the '78 carbs were prefixed with 170582XX and 5XX. Thr '79 carbs were prefixed with 170592XX and 5XX. 17056XXX is the '76 prefix but no 202 listed for Corvette in the '68--82 Spec. Guide.

I thought that the 6 was wrong, It should have been a 8 or 9 in that place. Also the 202 didn't look right. The carb probably came off a Pontiac or something. Definitly not Corvette. I'll pass on this one. Thanks for the response.
