Hello. Does any one have pictures or website reference for 1964 standard suspension shocks. I just want to know what part #s I am looking for. I also want pictures or reference so I can spot fakes or restamps along the quest. My car is a July 64 build. I have gotten so much conflicting info that I just want to start over. Does any one have pictures of a survivor car? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks Kevin

I don't have specific pictures of the 1964 standard suspension shocks. However, I can tell you that, configuration-wise, they are virtually the same as all Corvette standard suspension shocks used in PRODUCTION from 1963 through the 1982 model year and as available in SERVICE under various GM and Delco part numbers until the late 1990's.

The ON-SHOCK, STAMPED-IN part numbers are as follows:

front----GM #3186906

rear-----GM #3186907

with appropriate date codes for a 1964

The ON-BOX, PRINTED part numbers ("just in case you find any NOS shocks") are as follows:

front-----GM #3186717

rear------GM #3186718

Kevin -- these unrestored originals may be dated a few weeks later than what you'd be looking for. Off my early '65 VIN 014xx (Sept 25th '64 [if there was no strike] or Nov 6th [as it turned out]). I show one each of front and rear; both fronts were dated the same {160_64}; ditto for the rears {204_64}.

Kevin, here's an overall shot of my '67s. As Joe mentioned, other than dating, several years are the same.
