    "63 Rear window stainless trim

How difficult is it to remove this trim for polishing? Are special tools required? Should one use a glass repair shop?

it is high among the top 10 of unpleasant jobs on a 63, real easy to scratch the paint or worse yet bend the chrome trim, all it takes is a window hook tool and nerves of steel, also if you happen to break a retainer clip you have to pull the window out to change it, also once you're all done removing and polishing you still have to reinstall, more drama, if you hire a glass shop make sure they know what they are doing, if its not bent up think about buying a hand held pollishing kit and do it on the car, good luck,

Thanks Doug, sounds like great advice. I have started polishing in place and I think I should continue since I still have the main wiring harness to install.
