    dog dish restorer needed

Is there someone out there that can restore a set of '59-'60 dog dish hubcaps? I have several and would like to select the best four and have them re-plated and small dents removed. Any sources and contact information would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hey, Garry,

There's a guy in San Antonio (Rich Monroe) who claims he can straighten any car trim, including hub caps, and show no external evidence of the repairs. I've seen some of his work at swap meets and it's miraculous.

Not sure about the chrome plating but if dents and scratches removed, plating could be done by someone else.

His business name is "STRAIGHTNSHINYBYGOLLY". His card shows two phone numbers as (210) 584-5856 and (210) 815-5118.

    Good luck,

Larry, thanks for the information. I will see if I can reach him. Anyone else have any resources for hubcap restoration? Is Areba Platers still around? The web address I have for them no longer works.

Paul's Plating has done hub caps and wheelcovers for years and his work has appeared on NCRS and Pebble Beach cars. I have some. They do excellent work. Paul's advertises in Hemmings and has a website.
