Sure it isn't 3876476? That casting number should appear on the passenger side of the differential housing, just above the "fin" and rearward of the input yoke.

John -- I'll bet Harry's reading the (upside down when installed) rear cover casting #, 3871375, with the numbers '3' looking like '8's and the '6' like a '5'.

When he said 'center below leaf spring' (if unit was inverted), I thought of the rear cover number possibility.

John you have the right location upside down at the bottom of the rear casing, it is not the number on top of the differential .I will have to check the number againthanks!
