1961 Generator

I have a 1961 with an incorrect engine. Upon inspection, I see I also have an incorrect Generator.
My car is a 230 Hp powerglide, so the generator should be a 1102043.
The tag reads 1102042 with a date code of 6F11.
The generator has the aluminum front plate, cast rear plate with a 2 1/2 inch pulley and an aluminum tach drive housing.
Does anyone have an idea what this generator is off of?
Can it be retagged as a 1104023?
Also, my car was built on May 23. What would the date code on the generator have been?

2042 was a very common passenger car generator (for power steering.) Other than the front plate being wrong, the rear plate being wrong, and the pulley being wrong, you can use it. (In other words, I don't recommend that you just retag it)

That's a 30 Amp generator for a '57 passenger car. One application for it (and there were likely others) was on passenger cars with FI.
