    Idler Arm

Curious question...can an original Idler Arm be restored/rebuilt? OR is this an item that is expendable and just gets disgarded. Just wondering
    Thank You

    Don -

I'm not aware of anyone who rebuilds idler arms; it's a critical safety-related part and its manufacture involved very special heavy-duty tooling.

I agree with John. Also, there are some pretty good reproductions on the market although they do lack the forging number on the shaft. Otherwise with respect to configuration, they are very close. However, there are also a LOT of other replacements that are nowhere near original configuration (although they are functionally fine).
