    66 Rear Emblem

    I was looking at my car today and I noticed that the rear emblem looks slanted from the side angle but then it looks fairly straight from the rear. Can anyone give me any measurements to go by to see if it is correct? Or any kind of insight in this matter?

          Hi David,
          I'll give it a shot. Unfortunately (for a lot of reasons), my '66 is in the midst of a restoration and I don't have immediate access to take a measurement. However, from what I read some time ago, the consensus was that the left edge of the long rectangular bar should be 15 9/16" to the right of the centerline ridge on the car. The bottom left side of that bar is 5 5/8" above the beltline and the right side is 5 3/8" above. There was some variation reported, but that may have been due to replacement after body work. Perhaps some others can chime in and verify this info.

                  My 66 has the emblem original locating holes and appears the same as you describe.
