JOE,
My 66 coupe #23415 is Trophy blue,300hp,PG,PW,PB,A/C,
Tint glass,AM/FM,V74 hazard flash,KOwheels,Teak steer
Telescope columnw/black int.
car was last reg in NY 1976,been in my garage since then.
By the way our cars are about 857# apart.My build date is J06,
figure it to be a monday 6th of june @ 1:30 pm build.
The car has been restored,hope to be on the road this spring.
Another note I believe it to be a calif. car.by the nox insp
sticker on windshield.

Yep, our cars are pretty close on build date. I think mine is around May 22 if I remember right. What does PG stand for?

I didn't mean anything personal with my two-tone comment -- and I kenw those participating in the thread were thinking mid-years. In the context of the discussion you guys were right on. I did want to widen the perspective a little, though.

FWIW: My 2008 has the paint code 85U. It is not a two-tone, and I can find no lower paint designation, but still the U is, I think, for upper. So they are still allowing for the possibility of two-tone paint.

For those w/an interest of vin tags,you can gain
some insite with out leaving your computer.
Go to NCRS advertizers (pro-team)site,click on
your model yr. and scan the pic's.Not all have
the tags for what ever reason??
I have done this for my year,and found it
very interesting....

Inspection Stickers can be obtained from a spot on the internet. I was surprised to read they were reproductions, instead of old ones that were never used. I ran across this some time ago, but never ordered from...

If you cannot find with a search, let me know and I will re-search.

What is a C1 with a teardrop ?............

C1's are the solid axle cars, 1953-1962. The "teardrop" is the side cove, or indentation, that covers part of the front fender and door on '56-'62. On the '56-'61 it is outlined with stainless trim. '56-'61 Corvettes had optional cove colors.
