Click on the "year" column to the left of the post title......and it will "filter" all posts labeled to that year.....good way to find posts related to the year that you may be interested in or find other owners of that year.

Over the 45 years I may have seen 20 in person , even in 05 when NCRS 50 years for 55 8 or 9 showed up . I feel that less then 100 are still around complete and fewer derivable. It's hard to meet or correspond with others having one and so few left people have little interest in them. The JM covers so little info and may never do so.
The 54 seems to be the hot year to own because they made so many and the JM covers them well

Fenwick, It was very nice seeing you again at the National this year. I've heard such good things about your '55--I'll look forward to seeing it sometime. How did you end up fixing your voltage regulator (mine has acted up too from time to time)?

Roy, I've now seen eleven '55's in person, mostly in Florida and many having achieved Duntov: (1 & 2) my friend George Coniglio (who you know) has two here in Tampa, both Duntov'd; (3) Classic Corvettes in Tarpon Springs, Florida used to have Duntov's now Harvest Gold (originally black, apparently) "mule" car '55 that was sold at auction two or three years ago to Proteam; (4) there's currently a Gypsy Red one at a classic car museum in Sarasota, Florida; (5) there was a rare Harvest Gold 6-cylinder '55 at the 2006 NCRS Winter Meet in Kissimmee, Florida; (6) there was another 6-cylinder Gypsy Red '55 at the 2009 Winter Meet; (7) there was yet another Gypsy Red '55 at the Winter Meet in about 2008; (8) there was a beautifully restored Harvest Gold '55 that achieved the Duntov Award at this year's National; (9) there was a fellow in Venice, Florida who owned a '55 that he Duntov'd in the early 90's and later sold to a collector who now displays it in a great muscle car musuem in Punta Gorda, Florida; (10) I've seen an unrestored one in a garage in West Central Florida (it's not for sale, although I've tried); and (11) mine. Maybe Florida has a '55 connection!

I know of 4 in Ca. You eastern guys have all the money and come here and take Corvettes back. Most all nice Corvettes and cars seem to be back east and all the great car events . Ca. Sucks for Corvette events , Wise we all 55 owners could get to gather on e-mail and exchange info. As a group which would help use all . Thanks ROY
