On a 64 convertible with a saddle and white interior what color is the hardtop headliner supposed to be, saddle or white? The judging guide only says that the headliner color must match the interior color. Thanks Rich

Re: 64 Question
Richard, You will have to double check this with others but I know of a 65 roadster with black/white interior and the hard top has a black headliner.- Top

Re: 64 Question
Rich, others -- In a '64 convertible hardtop that you describe, am almost certain that the headliner fiberboard is white, as are the metal trim mouldings around the rear window and upper side windows.
Attached is a pic of a '64 coupe with the colors you mention. Rare combo of air, auto, no radio; and it had original KO's, dated (ink stamp) April, IIRC. [I bought the wheels in Feb of 1980]. you can see the windshield side molding is white, and this carries to the entire door upper surround and coupe roof edge moldings and halo panel. IMO, it would look terrible if the headliner itself was tan.
Sounds like the new '63-4 TIM&JG reads like the latest '65; ie. a little vague on exactly what interior components match what color, especially when it comes to two-tone interiors.Attached Files- Top
