    Wiper Arm replacement

Any tricks to removing old wiper arms? Is a gear puller necessary or just brute force? Also, it is an early 1974 with metal washer tubes. They are light grey metal . I think the judging manual says it should be black. Thankyou for any advice. Guenter

Several companies make a neat tool to remove the wiper arms. Here is a link to one like I have

Here's the common Lisle wiper arm tool found at many auto parts stores for about six bucks.

Man. you guys don't appreciate the old days. Flat screwdriver, just under the edge of the assy, rag under screwdriver to protect, pry up. Assembly pops right off, hits the cowl, small mark or chip, no big deal. Set to do the other side, Bill.

'Like Bill I use the flat screwdriver. I put duct tape over the driver blade and then wrap the blade with a shop rag. I never thought about there being another tool!
