66 Couple of quick small questions HELP!!

On a 66 how many carpet clips are on each side? I remember taking 3 off of each side total of 6, but the company I ordered them from said 7 per side total of 14. Big difference. 66 Assembly manual shows only six like I took off.

In the manual it shows a .140 diameter hole on the left and right, 1/2" down the side in the water channel on the upper shroud. I have seen several cars without these. Should it have them? I am assuming these are some type of drain hole. If they should be there can someone show me a pic of them?

There are no "carpet clips" as you say. What I think you are referring to are the clips that hold the metal filler strip that goes along each side of the inner door sill on 63 - 67. The metal clips are riveted to the inner door sill and there are 3 or 4 on each side. I cannot remember exactly. On the driver side, the wiring harness to the rear of the car runs under the filler strip.

As far as the hole in the upper shroud, I think what you are referring to is the spot where a wiring harness clip is riveted to the inside of the upper shroud on each side. The hole should be slightly ahead of the end of the hood latch on the inside vertical edge of the shroud drain. The clip is riveted to the shroud.
